Who we are

Astroworld provides web tools at astroworldmc.com and a companion browser extension, the Astroworld Toolkit. This policy covers both.

What the extension accesses

The Astroworld Toolkit runs in your browser. It only acts on a page when you ask it to, for example when you select text, double-click a word, open the side panel, or use the right-click menu.

• Page text you choose: when you use an AI feature (word suggestions, autocomplete, grammar, rewrite, summarize, explain or translate), the specific text you selected or are editing is sent over an encrypted connection to our API to generate the result. We do not read or collect the rest of the page.
• Account session: the extension reads your Astroworld login cookie so paid features work. It is sent only to apps.astroworldmc.com.
• Local settings: your feature toggles, recent tools and preferences are stored on your device with the browser storage API. They are not uploaded.

What we do not do

• We never sell your data.
• We do not track your browsing history or the pages you visit.
• We do not read page content unless you trigger a feature on it.
• We do not store the text you process beyond what is needed to return a result.

AI processing

AI features send your selected text to our server, which calls a third-party AI provider (Anthropic) to produce the result. The text is used to generate your output and is not used to train models. API keys live only on our server and are never placed in the extension.

Account data

If you create an account we store your email, plan and usage counts so we can provide the service and enforce plan limits. Payments are handled by Stripe; we do not store card numbers.

Tool history

If you are signed in, we keep a short history of your recent conversions and AI writing so you can find earlier work. We store only summaries: the tool name, a truncated input and output snippet, and the date. We never store your full files or text. Free accounts keep the last 5 items, premium accounts the last 30. You can wipe everything by deleting your account from your account page.

Your choices

• Turn any feature on or off in the extension settings.
• Turn off anonymous usage analytics in the extension settings.
• Clear locally stored extension data from the extension settings.
• Remove the extension at any time from your browser.
• Delete your account and all stored history yourself from your account page, or contact us.
